During the RECLA General Assembly, which we had the pleasure of holding within the framework of the 30th International Meeting in Bogot\u00e1 and Ch\u00eda, we celebrated not only a transition of leadership, but also the continuity of a shared vision: to make continuing education an engine of transformation in Latin America and Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More than 100 representatives from universities and organizations in 21 countries met to elect the new <\/span><b>Executive Committee 2025\u20132028<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This process marks the beginning of a new chapter in which experience, innovation and commitment come together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The RECLA General Assembly began with an atmosphere of both anticipation and enthusiasm. The day started with the verification of quorum and the appointment of the meeting's president and secretary, followed by the presentation of the 2022\u20132025 Executive Committee management report, which shared the main achievements, progress, and lessons learned over the three-year period. Afterward, the financial report was reviewed, and the projected budget for 2026 was presented, demonstrating transparency and collective planning.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, the most anticipated moment arrived: the election of the new Executive Committee 2025\u20132028, where RECLA members actively participated in the vote that renewed the network's leadership and defined the course for the coming years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new Executive Committee was made up of <\/span><b>Lilian Constanza Diedrich<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">academic vice-rector of UCASAL (Argentina)<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as <\/span><b>president<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; <\/span><b>; Edward Rubio Guerrero (continues on the committee with a new role)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> , director of Continuing Education at Ricardo Palma University (Peru)<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as <\/span><b>vice-president<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; y <\/span><b>Jorge David P\u00e1ez Monroy (re-elected)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">general director of the FORUM Institute\u2013Executive Training at the University of La Sabana (Colombia<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), as <\/span><b>general secretary and treasurer .<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This team is accompanied by the <\/span><b>vowels<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of <\/span><b>Wanderley Carneiro<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vice-Rector of Extension and Development, \u00c1lvares Penteado School of Commerce Foundation \u2013 FECAP (Brazil), <\/span><\/i><b>Fernando Saavedra<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">National Director of Continuing Education, Universidad Santo Tom\u00e1s (Chile), <\/span><\/i><b>Alberto Xavier O\u00f1a Serrano<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Director CEC-EPN, EPN Continuing Education Center \u2013 National Polytechnic School (Ecuador) <\/span><\/i><b>Juan Manuel Adame<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Director of Training and Professional Development, Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Nuevo Le\u00f3n (Mexico), <\/span><\/i><b>Flavio Ausejo Castillo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Director of Continuing Education, Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica del Per\u00fa (Peru), <\/span><\/i><b>Reyna Hiraldo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Director of the Professional Training Center, Universidad Abierta para Adultos \u2013 UAPA (Dominican Republic);<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> along with the alternate: <\/span><b>Jorge Olaya<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">General Director of Extension and Social Projection, Universidad Santiago de Cali (Colombia).<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-35106\" src=\"https:\/\/recla.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_2633-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"715\" height=\"476\" srcset=\"https:\/\/recla.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_2633-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/recla.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_2633-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/recla.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_2633-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/recla.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_2633-391x260.jpg 391w, https:\/\/recla.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_2633.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 715px) 100vw, 715px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Amid applause and celebrations, we welcome each new member who takes on the commitment to strengthen ties between Latin America and Europe, promote joint projects, and continue to promote the quality, innovation, and relevance of continuing education in all its forms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We extend our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to <\/span><b>Jorge Blando, Oscar Dalmau, Rosina Ramirez y Fabian Pressaco<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for their leadership and tireless work. Their efforts laid a solid and important foundation that allows us to continue our growth, momentum, and passion for education.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new phase of RECLA promises to strengthen collaboration between universities, foster educational innovation and continue to promote inter-institutional alliances.
